Always Be Safe First - Consult with Your Medical Professional

Consult with your medical professional specializing in Parkinson’s for full functional evaluation, recommendations and approval before exercising.

Remember, Safety first: Exercise during "on" periods, when taking medication.

It's not safe to exercise on your own, always have someone with you!

3 Pieces of Advice to Newly Diagnosed Patients:
1. Spend more time being active and less time on the couch!
2. Get involved in your community and be part of the community!
3. Make life better for others!

We Keep Moving at Ohiohealth's Parkinson's Wellness classes!

OhioHealth's Parkinson's Wellness class is sponsored by the Parkinson's Walk for a Cure.

New Schedule of classes

After being evaluated by an OhioHealth Physical Therapist, the participant is assigned to a class that best fits his/her needs. To schedule an evaluation, call 740.420.8243.

  • Basic classes: no change will occur - classes are every Tuesday starting at 12:45 pm;
  • This new schedule for the Advanced class begins the week of September 14. Chelsea and Jacob will assign you to your specific group. Please look at the schedule below and attend only on your designated days.
  • To better accommodate our growing community and ensure everyone gets the best experience possible - we are splitting our Parkinson's Wellness class into two groups:

The Blue Group                            and                              The White Group.

New Weekly Schedule beginning September 14, 2026

(All classes - 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM)

Monday: Blue Group only

Tuesday: White Group only

Thursday: Both Groups (Blue & White)

What to Expect on Thursdays - everyone attends at the same time, but we will still be split into two groups to manage our large class size. You will spend half the class on one activity and then switch:

  • Station 1: High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) on the cardio equipment.
  • Station 2: Group activities in the large room.

Thank you for your flexibility and cooperation as we grow! Our focus has been and always will be on each of you as the participant! We strive to give each of you the best experience every time you are here. If you have any questions about which group you belong to, please reach out to Chelsea or Jacob.

All classes on held at:

1280 North Court St. Circleville, Ohio 43113

(For more information, call 740.420.8243)

We exercise, we talk, we laugh, and we have fun!  Each class is an evidenced-based fitness program designed to optimize physical function and help delay the progression of symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease. OhioHealth believes that living well with a neurologic condition means fueling  your mind, body and spirit. Our tailored programs and teams of  specially trained instructors will help you reach all of your wellness  goals.

Our neuroscience wellness programs combine weekly exercise and  education classes to keep your mind and body active, and help you live a  full life.

OhioHealth's structured programs offer many physical, cognitive and social benefits, with a dedicated curriculum tailored to your condition and function level.
